Through the project "Together for Environmental Governance", implemented in Honduras by WWF Mesoamerica with funding from USAID, an induction workshop was held to strengthen the capacities of 16 prosecutors from the Public Prosecutor's Office from nationwide offices.
During the sessions of December 06 and 07, 2023, participants learned about environmental crime investigative actions, coordination mechanisms and measures for collaborative work of the Interagency Task Force against Environmental Crime (FTIA, for its Spanish acronym). They also received relevant information on the current state of wildlife and protected areas in the country.
The workshop concluded with a case study in which prosecutors, organized by teams, had the opportunity to apply their recently acquired knowledge.
This process is part of a series of trainings that will be given during the course of the "Together for Environmental Governance" project.
